Remote IT Support Technician (JB4958) Remote for applicants living in South Africa R18,000 - R24,000 per month, CTC Permanent Are you passionate about technology and love solving problems? Join a fast-growing company that specializes in digital transformation and managed IT solutions Were assiting our client in finding a 1st Line Support Engineer who will be the first point of contact for their UK-based clients, helping them resolve IT challenges and ensuring their systems run smoothly. This is a remote position open to applicants based in South Africa, offering opportunities for skill development, career progression, and a supportive work environment . Minimum Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment, thriving in a fast-paced setting. Proven ability to support UK-based clients, preferably with remote support experience. Technical Expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019) and Office 365 applications (OneDrive, Teams). Troubleshooting skills in: Cloud environments (Azure). Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware). Intune/MDM, Exchange, SQL Server, and SharePoint. Storage solutions (SANs and NAS), antivirus software, and firewalls (e.g., WatchGuard, SonicWall). Networking concepts (VLANs, managed switches). Tools: Experience with remote support tools (e.g., Datto RMM) and ticketing systems (e.g., Autotask). Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A, MCP, ITIL Foundation) are advantageous but not mandatory. Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for customer technical issues, logging and tracking incidents in the helpdesk system. Own and manage assigned incidents, seeing them through to resolution. Escalate complex technical or operational issues efficiently. Proactively research and propose technical solutions to recurring problems. Deliver hands-on problem-solving within strict SLA timeframes. Provide on-site customer support when necessary. Offer exceptional customer service, consistently striving to exceed client expectations. Working Hours Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
