Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Under the direct supervision of the Practice Administrator, the Clerical Associate III is required to register patients, schedule appointments, answer phones and perform other tasks related to this position.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
DENTISTRY
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clerical Associate as directed will report to the manager and/or administrator of the service
and the responsibilities will be as follows:
1. Registration of all patients presenting for services through EPIC.
2. Meet and greet patients, visitors and family members in respectful/professional manner
3. Maintain patient confidentiality.
4. Answer phones and address telephone inquiries regarding the level of services offered in the
practice.
5. Schedule appointments through our electronic medical record.
6. Maintain professional decorum and courtesy toward patients and colleagues.
7. Open and close visits utilizing Epic.
8. Generate new patient's charts in Epic.
9. Verify/update registration for all patients presenting for services.
Minimum Qualifications
1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and
2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.
