Part of SREs, automation and industrialization of the databases platform will fall under your responsibilities including any of them as MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, Galera and others. After an internal training period about our products and services, you will be a SQL Server DBA with the following responsibilities. Who Are We Looking For A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience Experience programming in at least Powershell and/or Go Ability to design the service level indicators of the database platforms to allow the SRE to be proactive when problems arise Understanding of database performance and capacity planning indicators to trigger automatic scale or failover Preferred Skills Experience in Database Performance Tuning and Database Security Good knowledge of database clustering design on Windows and/or Linux Ability to debug, optimize code, automate routine tasks and develop and implement cloud concept interface and provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) Working experience in DevOps Knowledge in continuous learning technical environment (CI, CD, Big Data, AI,) Who Are You Analytic mindset and good problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized and responsible Confidence working under pressure Maintaining an awareness of trends and developments in database administration You live by the motto “Failure is just a step towards great quality” Fluent in English; French and other European languages a plus Good track record of working in teams Automation is your answer to (almost) everything Believe in Infrastructure as Code You have a passion for service and customer-centric approaches Strong leadership and influence capability in a matrix organization Encourage change and continuous improvement and like to work in a growing and fast-paced company Open-minded and adaptable Take the availability, integrity, security & recoverability of the client infrastructure as a personal objective and assure compliance with business requirements and SLA Carry out standard operational and maintenance tasks and perform failovers/disaster recovery with the team Monitor security and system events and take appropriate action in case of incidents including participating in the off-hours monitoring rotation of the environment Identify and troubleshoot performance issues and optimize where possible Develop automation of operational tasks where possible Contribute to projects related to both our local and global environments focusing on increasing performance, availability, and scalability of our infrastructure Write documentation of internal DB processes, designs, and proposals Used to working in both operational and project contexts Our Technical Expectations Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL 13 Operational matters and maintenance AlwaysOn Replication, Logshipping Backups management Disaster recovery Security Knowledge and experience of DEVOPS best practices for Databases as a service Excellent knowledge of Linux servers Performance tuning on Linux & PostgreSQL servers Comfortable with multi-DC setup Comfortable with source version control like Git, GitLab, GIT flows and CICD Comfortable with Scripting (Powershell / Puppet / CICD) - Automation Used to working with Puppet (we do everything with Puppet) Used to working with Terraform (we aim that all pieces of infra are defined with code) Experience with hybrid infra (On-prem cloud) Incident management, troubleshooting, and resolution Understanding of network protocols (IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, Load balancing, clustering…) Nice to have experience with Docker Experience with ELK or LOKI Shape the Evolution We are pushing towards the next frontiers of payments technology, and we look for big thinkers to join our journey.
