Learning Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced, motivated and resilient individual to support students in a large 'Outstanding' SEN school in Oldham (OL8). You will be supporting children and young adults with complex learning difficulties and multi sensory needs. You will be working with students with multiple ability levels and focus can vary life skills to a sensory curriculum. The centre is easily accessed by public transport and has onsite parking available. The position is open to all those who have a background in Teaching Assistant, support work, voluntary or supporting a family member with learning difficulties. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - Oldham, Greater Manchester Position - Learning Support Assistant Type of work - Classroom support Contract or position start date - January 2025 Duration / Likely Duration - Full academic Year Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary - Permanent Full time/part time - Full time Minimum rate of pay - £90 per day Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in a similar setting GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
