Job Description

Teaching Assistant - KS2 (Year 5 & Year 6) Location: Bordesley Green, Birmingham, B9 Pay Scale: £90 - £105 per day Duration: Temporary to Permanent Start Date: ASAP Long Term Futures is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support KS2 students in Year 5 and Year 6. This full-time role involves working closely with the class teacher to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all pupils. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide classroom-based support to Year 5 and Year 6 students. Assist in delivering lessons, ensuring all pupils remain engaged and supported. Help manage classroom behavior in line with the school's policies. Support group activities, interventions, and catch-up sessions to help pupils achieve their potential. Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure progress is monitored and feedback is actioned. Encourage and promote independence among pupils, boosting their confidence.The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Have experience working in a primary school, particularly in KS2. Be confident supporting children across a range of abilities, including those with SEN. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils.
