Learning Mentor - KS2 Location: Bordesley Green, Birmingham, B9 Pay Scale: £100 - £105 per day Duration: Temporary to Permanent Start Date: ASAP Long Term Futures is currently seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to support KS2 students, focusing on their academic and personal development. This full-time role involves working 5 days per week, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during term time, within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bordesley Green. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to KS2 pupils, including those with SEN and behavioral needs. Deliver targeted interventions in small groups to help students reach their potential. Offer one-to-one mentoring for children with autism, ADHD, or low learning levels. Utilize your creativity to engage and inspire pupils in their learning journey. Collaborate closely with the class teacher and school SENCO to track progress and adapt strategies as needed. Support students working below age-expected levels as well as those exceeding expectations. Help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment aligned with the school's values.The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold a relevant degree or teaching assistant qualification. Have experience working with children in a school setting, particularly in KS2. Demonstrate a strong understanding of SEN and behavioral needs (experience with DSL duties is a plus). Be adaptable and responsive to individual student needs.
