KS1 Teaching Assistant Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham B29 Day Rate: £90-£105 Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary school in Selly Oak. This rewarding full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by delivering targeted support to help pupils achieve their age-related expectations in core areas such as phonics, early literacy, and numeracy. For the right candidate, there is potential for this long-term placement to transition into a permanent role. Key Responsibilities: Provide focused support in phonics and early literacy development, helping pupils build foundational reading and writing skills. Assist in numeracy interventions, supporting children with basic mathematical concepts such as counting, addition, and subtraction. Deliver targeted interventions to support pupils' academic progress and overall wellbeing, both one-to-one and in small groups. Provide tailored support to children with SEN, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential. Facilitate engaging, interactive activities that encourage social interaction, teamwork, and inclusivity among pupils.The ideal candidate will: Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or an equivalent degree. Have at least one year of experience supporting primary school pupils, ideally in Key Stage 1. Show a strong understanding of the KS1 UK curriculum.
