We are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave at a vibrant and welcoming school in Plymouth. About the Role: Position: Year 6 Class Teacher Contract: Temporary maternity cover (long-term)You will play a crucial role in preparing students for the transition to secondary school, delivering the Key Stage 2 curriculum, and supporting them through SATs. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential. Proven experience teaching the KS2 curriculum, with a strong understanding of Year 6 expectations. Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback. Support pupils' social and emotional development during this critical stage of their education. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
