We are currently seeking an EMEA ETO Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy The Electrical Designer / Engineer primarily works on Engineering-to-Order (ETO) design projects to meet customer requirements in a team environment. These designs will typically be Static Transfer Switches, Power Switches and Distribution units, Power Switching Cabinets, Remote Power Panels (RPP) for use in data centers. The role will require meeting project goals such as schedule, manufacturability, and cost. What kind of work will you be doing? The Electrical Designer / Engineer works on design projects to meet customer requirements in a team environment. This position will consist of: Creating designs, drawings, bills of material, and processing Engineering Change Orders. Evaluating with AE team the custom technical requests, verifying feasibility, designing, and defining the cost of the customized solutions. Preparing and submitting official quotations in accordance with ETO internal guidelines. Creating mechanical and electrical drawings, Bill of Material (BOM), and specifying parts, all following the PLM rules. Creating submittal drawings for finished design. Liaising with sub-suppliers to optimize and select the most competitive solutions. Liaising with Application Engineering team to provide technical advice and information. Liaising with OPC (Order Processing Center) Team for ETO activities coordination. Supporting the FWT team (Factory Witness Test) for the additional tests required by the ETO. Supporting prototype building process. Developing plans and providing schedule updates. Cooperating with other engineering functions during the definition of the ETO specification. Providing good teamwork behavior with the Electrical team as well as other teams to establish productive cross-functional conditions. What will make you successful? Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. 10 years of relevant experience. Good planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills. Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced work environment. Capable of utilizing a personal computer and various applications programs, i.e., spreadsheets, CAD, word processing, communications, etc. Deep knowledge on power switchboards and distribution systems. Deep knowledge on pertinent standard IEC 62310 (STS) and IEC 60439 (LV switchgear and control gear). Knowledge of NEC and UL is a plus.
