Job Description

Minimum Requirements: National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Certified maintenance and reliability professionals - advantageous. 4-5 years of experience in maintenance planning, specifically in preventative maintenance. Knowledge of hydraulic equipment, boilers, and mixers. Strong proficiency in Excel and planning. ERP experience would be advantageous. Job Description As a Maintenance Planner, your key responsibilities will include: Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for heavy machinery. Work Order Management: Process, prioritise, and issue work orders with detailed documentation and a clear scope of work. Review completed orders for quality assurance. Inventory & Resource Management: Maintain strategic stock levels for critical spare parts and high-wear components. Coordinate procurement for cost-effective material sourcing. Technical Documentation & Compliance: Record maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment modifications. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and keep technical manuals up to date. Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Perform root cause analysis for major equipment failures. Provide actionable insights for design and process improvements. Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and safety teams to align maintenance efforts with operational goals. Reporting & KPI Management: Track and report on maintenance KPIs such as equipment availability and MTBF. Prepare monthly performance reports and suggest improvements. Be a part of a dynamic team ensuring the seamless operation of critical equipment while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
