Job Description
Role Overview: We are seeking a Global Planning Director to lead and optimize our worldwide Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role involves hierarchical and functional management of a global planning community of approximately 60 FTEs, including demand planners, inventory planners, and supply planners. As a key leader in the organization, the Global Planning Director will drive significant transformations across planning processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. This position requires a visionary leader with strong communication skills capable of engaging at all organizational levels, including with the C-Suite during monthly Executive S&OP meetings. Key Responsibilities: •Leadership & Management oLead the global planning community, managing approximately 60 professionals across regions. oFoster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. •S&OP Process Management oOversee and drive the implementation of a multi-brand S&OP process. oEnsure alignment with strategic goals across demand, inventory, and supply planning. •Performance Optimization oMaintain a high level of On-Time Deliveries (OTD) exceeding 95%. oOptimize global inventory levels, targeting a 30% reduction. •Process Improvement & Technology Deployment oLead the deployment of new planning tools, including SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Smart Control Tower solutions. oContribute to the development and implementation of best practices across the global network. •Change Management oDrive change management initiatives during the global transition to SAP and new planning tools. oBuild engagement and alignment across teams to ensure seamless adoption of new processes. •Stakeholder Engagement oCollaborate closely with the Excellence Planning Director and other key stakeholders to align planning operations with strategic priorities. oCommunicate effectively at all levels, including presenting insights and recommendations during Executive S&OP meetings. Qualifications & Experience: •Proven expertise in leading global S&OP processes and planning operations. •Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing large teams across diverse regions. •Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with demonstrated experience engaging with C-Suite executives. •Deep understanding of inventory management, supply chain optimization, and demand planning. •Experience in deploying advanced planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP) and fostering best practices. •A track record of delivering significant improvements in on-time delivery performance and inventory optimization. •Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives, particularly in large-scale system transitions such as SAP implementation.
