Teaching Assistant for KS1 - February 24th Start Date Location: Barking and Dagenham Salary: £95 - £115 per day Hours: Full-time Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent About the Role: Are you passionate about education and ready to inspire the next generation of learners? A vibrant primary school in Barking and Dagenham is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team this January. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored learning support through one-on-one and small group sessions for Key Stage 1 students. Assist teachers in preparing engaging and resourceful classroom materials to foster a love of learning. Help create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment for all students. Support positive student behaviour management and encourage social interaction. Contribute to student progress tracking and communicate effectively with teachers and parents/carers. What We're Looking For: Relevant experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a teaching assistant role. A passionate and committed individual with a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Patience, resilience, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations. A relevant qualification or a willingness to undertake training is desirable.
