Ultimate Products (Leading Retail Consumer Goods Brand House and PLC business) is currently experiencing fantastic success off the back of our branded strategy and has seen turnover rise to almost £200m in just 3 years. As we set our sights on exceeding £300m within the next 3-5 years, we're seeking dynamic individuals to join us on this exciting journey within our European sales team. Already established as a major supply partner to retailers including Tesco, Asda, B&M and Sainsbury and European retailers including Action, Lidl, Aldi and Kaufland , we are now aggressively expanding across major European markets. With thriving operations in the UK, Germany, and Holland alongside partnerships with key retailers there—the focus now shifts towards maximising opportunities in France. Strategically located near Charles De Gaulle Airport at JJA Business Complex on Paris’s outskirts lies our impressive 10k square foot mega showroom, already experiencing a large footfall of customers attending. The showroom showcases our fantastic, branded product ranges, perfect for the French and European retail markets, with Retail Buyers already visiting on a regular basis. We have innovative product ranges under well-known brands like SALTER, BELDRAY, PROGRESS, PETRA and RUSSELL HOBBS , a full implemented supply chain infrastructure capable of servicing the biggest retailers in Europe and the senior management team with ambition to be the best European Supplier to retail. Now we need suitably experienced and ambitious people to join this new chapter of the company. As a result, we are looking to expand our European Sales team and are looking for the best Business Development Manager who possess existing retail market knowledge and network. To focus primarily on generating relationships and opening up new business opportunities with major retailers throughout France and other European channels. The Job Duties Leverage existing relationships and market knowledge to identify, target and penetrate key major retailers in France and across major European retail markets. Using your business network, contact major decision makers (ideally C Suite level) and invite them to our European showrooms or at key retail trade events across Europe. To open new major retail accounts in France and Europe, through arranging initial meetings with key senior decision makers, through promoting UP’s brands and business operations. To obtain initial orders with these key retailers to open the accounts and work with the wider European sales team to develop accounts further. Assess potential markets and customer needs to create relationship building strategies aimed at launching branded consumer goods such as Housewares, Small Domestic Appliances, and Laundry & Cleaning products with your target Retail Customers. Orders can be from stock or FOB basis. Collect and share market knowledge and customer retail insight with the company, our product teams and senior management Collaborate with National Account Managers and European Sales Managers to execute strategic plans for maintaining and maximising customer relationship and repeated business. Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions, creating new Customer relationships throughout the world. To attend key customer meetings at our showrooms in Paris, Manchester (UK), China (Guangzhou), Holland and Hong Kong as required. What you need Essential: At least 3-5 years’ experience of completing a similar Business Development role where you have developed business and opened retail accounts within a retail consumer goods setting To demonstrate sound knowledge of the European retail market (particularly France) and have key live business relationships within your network To demonstrate experience of business development and launching of new brands within European markets, particularly France. To be able to competently communicate in languages including English and French To have a willingness to travel around Europe and Asia as required Excellent presentation and IT skills Tenacity, drive, ambition and determination to succeed Advantageous: To have opened retail accounts (Business Developed) with one or more major retail customers such as; Auchan, La Foir' Fouille, Boulanger, System U, and FNAC/Darty or similar. To have established relationships with key contacts at one or more major retail customers such as; Auchan, La Foir' Fouille, Boulanger, System U, and FNAC/Darty.
