Commercial Export Operations - Stellenbosch

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred Drivers license (This role will include travel) 1-2 years of experience in an export or logistics role is preferred, but internships or equivalent experience will be considered. Familiarity with export documentation and customs processes is a plus. Experience in the fresh produce, logistics, or FMCG sector is advantageous but not mandatory. Responsibilities: Export Coordination Support: Assist in organising and scheduling export shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to global markets. Monitor the progress of shipments and update clients or internal teams on any delays or issues. Support the preparation of export documentation, including invoices, customs declarations, and certificates. Client Support and Relationship Management: Provide day-to-day support to export clients by addressing inquiries, resolving minor issues, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Maintain clear communication with clients to keep them informed about shipment statuses and resolve logistical concerns. Assist with onboarding new clients by ensuring their needs are captured and integrated into operational workflows. Logistics Support: Liaise with shipping agents, freight forwarders, and other service providers to ensure smooth operations. Track and trace shipments to confirm deliveries and resolve any logistical challenges. Help maintain records of transportation and shipping activities for auditing purposes. Process Improvement and Compliance: Identify opportunities for improving operational processes and reducing costs. Ensure compliance with export regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Support the export team in implementing process updates and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Data and Reporting Support: Collect and organize data related to shipment performance, costs, and operational metrics. Assist in preparing operational reports and summaries to provide insights to the management team.
