As a Staff Accountant, your role will involve handling a variety of accounting tasks, including managing the General Ledger, providing support to branch personnel, and contributing to the development of improved accounting procedures. Responsibilities: • Manage the General Ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date. • Oversee the accounting for multiple branches, ensuring consistency and accuracy. • Handle accounting tasks related to serialized product sales. • Provide daily accounting support to branch personnel, addressing any issues or queries that arise. • Recommend improvements to existing accounting procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy. • Conduct account reconciliations regularly to ensure all accounts are balanced. • Utilize spreadsheet software to track and analyze financial data. • Prepare and review expense reports, ensuring all expenses are accurately recorded and justified.• Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar. • Candidates must have proven skills in Account Reconciliation, highlighting any experience in resolving discrepancies and improving financial accuracy. • Proficiency in Excel is a must, with familiarity in using advanced formulas, Pivot tables, and other features for financial analysis and reporting. • Experience in preparing and reviewing Expense Reports is required, ensuring all business expenses are accurately recorded and justified. • Applicants should have a thorough understanding of the General Ledger, including its functions and its importance in maintaining accurate financial records. • The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced Retail environment is crucial, highlighting any relevant industry experience.
