Join TeamRacing We are seeking a motivated Logistics Operations Specialist , to play an important role ensuring logistics day-to-day operation from shipping documents verification to monitoring shipment status for clients and contracts with carriers. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience of 3 to 4 years in import/export logistics operations for ocean and air freight within a freight forwarding environment Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures. Proficiency in both Italian and English Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts with carriers. Key Contribution: Documentation Preparation: Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documents including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations to ensure compliance with local and international regulations. Customs Compliance: Ensure that all shipments comply with customs regulations by coordinating with customs brokers and government agencies. This includes preparing documentation for customs clearance and resolving any issues that may arise during the process. Logistics Coordination: Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods from origin to destination. This involves selecting appropriate carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely delivery. Communication: Maintain clear communication with clients regarding shipment status, potential delays, and any issues that may arise during transit. Provide updates on tracking information as needed. Problem Resolution: Address any logistical challenges or discrepancies that occur during the shipping process. This includes handling claims for lost or damaged goods. Cost Management: Monitor shipping costs and work to find cost-effective solutions while maintaining service quality. Prepare quotations for clients based on their shipping needs. Collaboration with Third Parties: Liaise with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and other third parties involved in the supply chain to ensure smooth operations.
