Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night (7p-7a) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele experience; Neuro experience preferred License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of work and residence, or meet the licensure requirements for National License Compact (NLC) state Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: Med/Tele experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications Job Description: - Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation. - Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues. - Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation. - Develop a plan prescribing strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. - Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles. - Evaluate progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes. - Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. - Communicate effectively in all areas of practice. - Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice. - Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession. - Seek knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking. - Integrate evidence and research findings into practice. - Contribute to quality nursing practice. - Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations. - Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible. - Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. - Practice ethically. - Promote shared governance or facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotions. Physical Requirements: - Walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. - Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds. - Intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. - Finger dexterity and critical thinking. Schedule Notes: - Scrub Color: Navy blue - RTO (Request Time Off) is not approved for certain holidays. Languages: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English fluently.
