Working under the guidance of Nurse Managers and other leaders, the RN Clinical Nurse practices within a clinical environment guided by a shared governance model. Competencies are derived from evidence-based practice and research models. The nurse is expected to uphold nursing standards as outlined by professional guidelines and ethical codes. Core Responsibilities include performing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, and planning) and implementing individualized patient care using evidence-based practice. The nurse ensures optimal patient care outcomes by fostering caring partnerships and adapting service delivery to meet diverse patient needs. Teamwork and collaboration are vital, with a focus on effective communication and a respectful, inclusive clinical environment. The role includes promoting safe, quality patient care and supporting recruitment and retention within the healthcare team.
