Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nursing Job Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night (7 PM - 7 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Experience: 2 years required, Med/Surg Tele experience preferred License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state you work and reside, or for National License Compact (NLC) states, meet the licensure requirements in your home state Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: - Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English - Ability to work effectively in culturally diverse environments - Ability to communicate effectively in all areas of practice - Must wear navy blue scrubs Job Description: - Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation. - Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues. - Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation. - Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. - Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters or principles. - Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. - Practices in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. - Demonstrates leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession. - Seeks knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking. - Integrates evidence and research findings into practice. - Contributes to quality nursing practice. - Evaluates one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations. - Utilizes appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible. - Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. - Practices ethically by promoting shared governance, or facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion. - Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling with the ability to lift and support up to 35 pounds. - Must have intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, with finger dexterity and critical thinking abilities. Please Note: Holidays not approved for time off include July 4th, Labor Day weekend, Halloween, and one holiday around Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, or New Year's Eve.
