Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU) Job Duration: Not Specified Shift: Days, Full Time, 4 - 10 hour shifts Guaranteed Hours: Not Specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surgical or Critical Care Nursing License: RN Licensure (State-specific license required) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures - Critical Care Nursing Experience (preferred) - IV Skills - Basic Office Skills Job Description: - Assess and prepare patients for surgery. - Monitor and care for patients during the recovery phase. - Assist and prepare inpatient transfer or discharge from the facility. - Recover and monitor higher acuity patients with chest tubes and central lines, including arterial lines, multiple IVs, and those requiring longer ventilator support post-operatively. - Provide care for both medical and surgical observation patients admitted to observation beds from the emergency department, through direct admission, and/or post-surgical status. - Collaborate with healthcare providers, anesthesia providers, and nursing management for patient care direction. - Direct and oversee LPNs and CNAs. - Participate in call rotations as required.
