Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Job Duration: Permanent Shift: Full Time, All Shifts Available Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current State RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS (required), PALS (within 6 months of hire), EPNC, TNCC (preferred) Must-Have: Experience in Advanced Medical/Surgical Unit and recent Critical Care Nursing, especially in cardiovascular surgery. Job Description: - Provide direct patient care to medical/surgical/cardiovascular patients requiring advanced monitoring. - Operate complex medical equipment, including central lines, A-lines, multiple IVs, balloon pumps, Impella pumps, and support systems for ventilation and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT). - Care for general medical and surgical patients on the inpatient unit from admission to discharge, including discharge planning. - Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision. - Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff. - Collaborate with and give direction to RN, LPN, CNA, and other staff members. - Receive direction from Providers, Charge Nurse, Supervisor, and Chief Nursing Officer. - Utilize advanced nursing principles and procedures effectively. - Use basic office equipment and multiple IV pumps efficiently.
