JOB SUMMARY: The Payroll & Recruitment Specialist will oversee payroll processing and benefits administration for employees in Spain and, to a lesser extent, Germany, and the UK. This role ensures payroll accuracy, manages employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits, and handles onboarding and offboarding processes. Additionally, the administrator will be the main point of contact for external payroll vendors and benefit providers, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. As part of the recruitment function, the specialist will manage the end-to-end hiring process, including creating job descriptions, posting vacancies, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and providing timely feedback to applicants. They will work closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure a smooth candidate experience while maintaining a strong employer brand. RESPONSIBILITIES: Payroll: Prepare and process accurate payroll for employees in Spain and, to a lesser extent, Germany and UK, including regular and overtime wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions. Process special payrolls related to bonuses, commissions, or severance payment Ensure timely payroll submissions in line with company policies and legal requirements. Address and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries or discrepancies. Investigate and correct payroll errors to ensure employees are paid correctly. Coordinate with HR for employee information and benefits, ensuring payroll aligns with employment contracts and benefit plans. Main contact for benefit vendors for updates, changes, renewal, enrollments and terminations. Manage employee time-off requests, track vacation and sick leave balances and manage overtime Organize and execute annual medical checks for employees. Recruitment: Collaborate with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs. Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent. Proactively source candidates through online channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, and professional networks. Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates. Conduct initial phone or video screenings to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit. Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers. Prepare interview guides and evaluation criteria for consistent and fair assessments. Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings. Promote the company’s culture and values to attract potential candidates REQUIREMENTS: Payroll: 2 years of proven experience in payroll management, particularly for Spain, Germany, and the UK. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes, desiderableincluding experience with Activpayroll, UKG and Blue Marble. Familiarity with local tax and social security regulations in Spain, Germany, and the UK. Proficiency in using accounting systems like NetSuite for payroll bookings. Experience managing employee benefits and handling inquiries related to payroll and benefits. Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail in payroll accuracy. Previous experience with HR platforms like UKG or similar systems. Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders. Recruitment: 2 years of proven experience in national and international recruitment, preferably hiring for technical roles. Proficiency in recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS, and job boards. Previous experience with Recruitment platforms like Jobvite or similar systems. Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment and meet strict deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal hiring managers. WHY WORK AT DEVO?
