Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the execution of the project in terms of the main contractual obligations' - i.e.full compliance with Contract scope of supply and agreed Technical Requirements, timely delivery and quality as well as achievement of the expected profitability of the project itself. Acting as main interface between the Customer and Vertiv. Pro-active management and monitoring of project profitability RESPONSIBILITIES Project Planning - Translating Customer needs/requirements into detailed Project plans shared with Company Functions involved and driving internal execution to meet the targets. Playing a proactive role in problems prevention during the project life cycle by highlighting potential areas of concern and promptly driving other departments in solving issues, which could affect project flawless execution. Cost control - Oversee the purchasing activities of the project in conjunction with the Purchasing Manager to ensure respect of project budget and develop cost reduction and cost containment actions. Delivery and Site activity coordination - Coordination of deliveries with clients and purchasing in order to avoid inventory. Coordination of local subcontractors for site activities for installations and service team for on time start-ups. Project documentation - Responsible of the timeliness, quality and maintenance of the project reports and documentation package (i.e. drawings, specifications, customer requirements, minutes of meetings, certificates, proof of delivery, etc.) Customer relations, reporting, invoicing - Developing enduring faithful Customer relationships. Ensuring accurate and timely forecasting of project's revenue/margins. Provide regular communication updates to departmental staff/peers and functions. Raising the invoice requests for a timely billing. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Educated to degree level in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering. Experienced in running and controlling high value M&E contracts. Good knowledge of Liebert HPAC and UPS products and solutions Experienced in negotiating with and managing sub-contractors. Numerate and IT literate with an in-depth understanding of business performance software packages. (Essential – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Oracle. Preferable – Autocad). Ability to understand commercial business contracts and a sound knowledge of contract agreements and contract law. Attention to details and the ability to manage a number of tasks/priorities at any given time. Ability to work under pressure and to agreed timescales. Customer Centric behavior, ability to deal with complex Customers and meet specific requirements when needed. Team player, able to effectively communicate with his/her peers and supervisors. Good influencing skills when dealing with Functions. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Follow and respect, in all its technical interventions, the environmental guidelines established by Vertiv Spain, and those that are specific to the client's facilities where the intervention is carried out. TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED Occasional travels may be required. Working on Field (Customer premises) 75% of the time.
