For one of those projects, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Java Developer with a strong background in working with Java Legacy systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Apache Cocoon, Tomcat, AngularJS, JSP, SQL, Ant, and SOAP-based web services. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to legacy system maintenance, enhancement, and integration projects while working with modern technologies. 100% remote position for people located in Spain. ⚙ Key Responsibilities: Java Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize Java-based legacy applications while ensuring compatibility with existing systems. Legacy System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, refactor, and update legacy Java applications to improve performance and functionality. Web Development: Work with Apache Cocoon and Tomcat to develop and deploy scalable, efficient web applications. Frontend Development: Integrate and maintain front-end features using AngularJS and JSP. SQL Database Management: Write optimized SQL queries, manage database interactions, and ensure smooth integration with back-end systems. SOAP Web Services: Develop, integrate, and maintain SOAP-based web services. Build Automation: Use Ant for building, testing, and deploying applications in an efficient manner. Mandatory requirements: Experience: Approximately 8 years of experience in Java development, with a focus on legacy systems. Java: Strong proficiency in Java, including experience with legacy Java technologies and frameworks. Apache Cocoon & Tomcat: Experience with Apache Cocoon for XML-based applications and Tomcat for web server management. Frontend: Hands-on experience with AngularJS and JSP. SQL: Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and working with relational databases. SOAP Web Services: Experience with developing and integrating SOAP-based web services. Build Tools: Familiarity with build tools like Ant to manage builds and deployments. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with modern Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate). Experience in working with RESTful web services. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
