The Vacancy Reach your full potential and join Quarriers as a part time Support Worker within our Finnart Street adult service located in Greenock Your new opportunity Quarriers Finnart Street Service is a residential care home in Greenock for six individuals who have epilepsy and/or a learning disability. We are on the lookout for two part time Support Workers who will join a dedicated team who supports individuals in the daily lives and helping them achieve their goals and ambitions. Our ethos is building a relationship with each individual, establishing trust and bringing together a person centred support to deliver the best residential care. Working pattern: Both opportunities are part time permanent contracts offering 1x 15 hour and 1x 20 hour contract per week. Staff work a variety of shift to meet the needs of the people we support, therefore flexibility is essential. Support is offered 24/7 you will work based on a planned rota which will include early, late & weekend shifts on a rotational basis. There will also be additional sleepover shifts and those are paid at an hourly rate of £12.00. What you will need to bring to the role Compassion, understanding and ability to work under pressure. Confident in work with people 1:2:1 and in a community-based setting. Ability to identify and respond affectively to individual emotional support needs. Enthusiasm and self-motivation. Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes. Excellent communication skills and able to record care planning. What's in it for you? Generous holiday entitlement.
