Mechanical Day Shift Engineer

We are currently working with a Global Facilities Management provider to recruit for a Mechanical Day Shift Engineer to provide preventive and reactive maintenance on a heritage building site based in South Kensington. The Role As the Shift Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in the following: Working on a day’s only shift pattern, working 2 days on 2 days off then 3 days on 3 days off 7am-7pm & 10am-10pm. To carry out preventive, corrective and reactive maintenance on a range of Mechanical equipment. Service, maintenance, fault finding & repair on a range of mechanical building services equipment. Plant room maintenance and checks. General maintenance duties as and when required – AHUs, FCUs, flushing, filter changes, temp checks, generator checks. Plumbing and fabric duties as and when required. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in the role of Shift Engineer, you’ll bring the following skills and experience to the role: You will hold relevant mechanical qualifications – e.g., NVQ Level 2 / 3 - Plumbing / Plumbing & Heating. Ability to pass a DBS. Experience in a facilities maintenance / building service role is essential. Strong communication skills. Can do attitude, willing to be flexible. What’s in it for you?
