Network Consultant

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Network Consultant for a RIGHT TO HIRE assignment with one of our premier Sports/ entertainment clients in Queens , NY . Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Consultant with 2-4 years of proven experience to join our team on a full-time consulting basis, with the potential for right-to-hire based on performance and headcount approval. The consultant will play a critical role in supporting and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and connectivity. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain robust network solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices, with a strong emphasis on the Cisco Catalyst platform . Perform network monitoring and analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve network-related issues. Assist in developing and implementing network security measures to protect company assets and data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the network supports all operational and business needs. Provide technical support and guidance for network-related issues during standard hours and on an on-call basis. Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, to address critical issues or maintenance. Required Skills : 2-4 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on Cisco technologies, including Cisco Catalyst switches . Hands-on experience with configuring and managing various Cisco Catalyst series products. Strong understanding of network protocols, topologies, and architectures. Experience configuring and managing network security tools (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, access control). Ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues efficiently. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical end users.
