Job Description

For a prestigious client, that provides intelligent fastening solutions, we are currently looking for a Data Engineer in Spain. Role Transform raw data into meaningful and actionable insights that support decision-making across an organization. Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes that prepare data for analysis and visualisation Duties Data Infrastructure and Pipelines: Set up robust data pipelines that enable data flow from various sources into a central repository (e.g., data warehouse). Data Integration and ETL: Extract data from different databases and APIs, transform it into consistent formats, and load it into storage solutions where it can be easily queried. Data Quality and Integrity: Monitor data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Data Modelling: Develop data models that reflect the business's operations and support reporting needs. Collaboration with Analysts and Stakeholders: Work closely with BI analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure that the data infrastructure supports their analytical needs. Optimization and Performance Tuning: Ensure that data systems perform well, particularly as data volumes increase, by optimizing queries, indexing databases, and using techniques like partitioning to improve performance also paying attention to azure costs. Enablement of BI and Analytics Tools: Provide data in a way that integrates seamlessly with BI tools like Power BI, allowing stakeholders to visualise and analyse data easily. Responsibilities and competencies Strong skills in SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages for data manipulation. Understanding of relational and non-relational databases and familiarity with modelling techniques. Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues in data pipelines and address data inconsistencies. High level of accuracy in data processing and transformation, ensuring clean and reliable data for stakeholders. Openness to learning and adapting to new tools, techniques, and evolving data environments. The background 5 years in roles related to BI 3 years experience with data engineering Knowledge of Azure, specifically data data related tools.
