Application Engineer Vacuum Systems

Main activities: Main activity (ar. 80% of time): Management of make-to-order and engineered-to-order quotations for vacuum systems, involving: Provide Active support to Sales team in evaluating the project specification and scope of work, including frequent visits at clients’ premises. Estimate / calculate budget for both materials and engineering cost with database or suppliers’ enquiries. Create project schedule with baseline. Draft the technical description of the vacuum solution better fitting client’s needs. Collateral activity (ar. 20% of time): Management of engineered-to-order projects for vacuum systems, involving: Manage all aspects of the key contracts in hand. Plan, execute, monitor, and report project engineering and financial KPIs, preventing “scope-creep” by change management procedure. Manage all communications with internal and external stakeholders. Analyze client’s contractual and technical specifications. Identify, evaluate, and limit technical and commercial risks. Assuring compliance with internal or designated standards and quality requirements. Required Experiences: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. Minimum 5 years experiences as Technical Project Manager or Project Engineer in highly dynamic project management driven companies operating in O&G/Power EPC or equivalent business. Experience in commissioning/start-up/operation of utilities/process plants in the business areas described above. Basic knowledge and experience with Contract Management terminology and dynamics. Familiarity with engineering process, mechanical and electrical documentation, such as P&IDs and control narratives, General Arrangements, Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Piping classes etc. Knowledge of material of construction selection to meet process condition requirements. Resilient to work under strict timeline. Capability to work in team, internally and cross—functionally. Multi-cultural organization. Language: Italian: Fluent or mother tongue. English: Full professional proficiency. Any other language skills (for example, German, French, Spanish) will be considered a plus. Knowledge and use of AutoCAD, Solids Works or similar mechanical design software. “Nice-to-have” additional educational/skills: Familiarity with CRM portal and ERP.
