Data Governance Expert

We are looking for a Data Governance Expert for our client. Mission: Contribute to the data governance flow and data architecture. Ensure that the data architecture and data stack are aligned with overall goals and objectives. Oversee data management and ensure that data is stored, organized, integrated, and accessible as defined in policies and procedures. Focus: Data architecture Data governance Database/Data warehouse/Data lake BI/Data science Data security and privacy Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or ideally data science. Proven experience in data management, governance, and analysis. Hands-on experience with databases, data warehouses/lakes, and data catalog/governance platforms. Excellent modeling and analysis skills. Service-oriented and problem-solving mindset. Excellent communication skills and team spirit. Desired Operation: Build relationships with the company with weekly on-site presence. Knowledge of marketing/fan areas, ideally in the sports industry. Experience with a modern data catalog (Atlan, Alation, CastorDoc, etc.). Experience with a data ecosystem or equivalent. Structured/unstructured data sources: SQL/NoSQL databases, AWS S3. Transformation: dbt. DWH: Snowflake. Data science: dataiku. BI/Visualization: Tableau (on-premises, cloud), PowerBI. Expected contract type: one-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. Main responsibilities: Act as a subject matter expert and review conceptual, logical, and/or physical data models and metadata for new and existing ICT solutions. Ensure that diagrams representing the data landscape, data flows, and data lifecycle are created and maintained by project teams. Ensure that data from various sources can be integrated, combined, and used cohesively across solutions. Contribute to data governance policies and procedures (e.g., data quality, retention, metadata, etc.) and maintain documentation related to data governance. Implement measures to identify how data is used, monitor compliance with policies and procedures, and safeguard access and sharing of sensitive data. Actively collaborate with business stakeholders to identify governance requirements and ensure that processes align with the company's data needs. Own the data catalog product and related data governance solutions, ensuring its use, completeness, and accuracy in collaboration with stakeholders. Collaborate with the enterprise architect to maintain enterprise data (data objects, interfaces, processes) in the EA tool. Collaborate with the solution architect to ensure that data solutions are adopted and implemented according to best practices. Work with a data analysis expert to assist in designing robust solutions for data analysis and data science. Stay updated on the latest data technologies and trends, ensuring with the relevant subject matter expert that data stack remains relevant and cost-effective.
