Temporary HGV2 Driver

Due to staff absence, Manpower Recruitment have an opportunity for a HGV2 Driver to work for a minimum of six weeks. Main Duties: Drive a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) with a Class 2 license (HGV2) for scheduled deliveries and collections. Load and unload goods securely and efficiently, ensuring safety during transit. Complete pre and post-trip vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance issues to the fleet manager. Follow all relevant traffic laws and health and safety regulations while operating the vehicle. Deliver products to designated locations on time, ensuring the highest level of customer service. Complete delivery documentation, such as delivery notes and logs, accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with the transport team, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery progress or issues. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle at all times. Required Skills and Qualifications: Valid HGV Class 2 (HGV2) driving license. Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification. Digital tachograph card. Previous experience driving HGVs, particularly with large vehicles. Good knowledge of road safety regulations and transport legislation. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and reliability. Desirable Qualifications: Experience in multi-drop deliveries.
