Job Description

We are recruiting for a Sample Coordinator to join our Exploration and Production team based in Aberdeen. You will be responsible for ensuring incoming work is handled appropriately, registered into Interteks databases or quarantined. Key part of the position You will arrange transfer of work from sample reception to the appropriate section for processing Responsible for follow up for work held in quarantine to maximise our revenue by progressing quarantine to analysis. ABOUT YOU We are seeking someone who has excellent customer services experience. You must be willing to be hands-on working as some physical activity is required in this role and environment to book samples in. Required skills and experience: Maths, English and a Science related subject and National 5 or equivalent level preferred but not essential Strong organisational and time management skills Proven ability to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels in a professional manner at all times Willing to be hands-on working as some physical activity is required in this role and environment to book samples in Good time management and an ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines IT literate to include a good level of skills in MS Office software and database use ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We now have an exciting opportunity for a Sample Coordinator to join our team. You will work in the Business Support team and will be responsible for independently carrying out sample receipt duties following agreed methodologies in an efficient and effective manner. You will accurately review, communicate, and enter client, sample, analytical and financial information into company databases to allow operational teams to complete client requirements and invoice work the accurately first time. Key activities: Perform the daily activities of the department efficiently and effectively in accordance with both approved methods and client requirements, working in partnership with the operational teams to ensure activities are completed timely Ensure incoming work is handled appropriately, registered into Interteks databases or quarantined Responsible for accurately registering client, sample, analytical and financial information into company databases Ensure only necessary paperwork is generated for each job Responsible for arranging the transfer of work from sample reception to the appropriate section for processing Responsible for the weekly review and communication of quarantine logs to the department heads Report all faults and non-conformance issues providing specific information as required WHAT WE OFFER Join Intertek and become part of our global network of inspiring and entrepreneurial colleagues.
