Pre Commissioning Engineer

Pre-commissioning Engineer – (BSRIA Flushing/Water treatment) Salary: 32-40K (plus company van, fuel card, overtime, pension and 21 holiday days plus bank holidays) Based on a 40-hour week- paid door to door. Our client are a rapidly expanding family Water treatment company based in the west midlands specialising in water treatment and pre-commission. This can be on new construction sites, refurb projects or sometimes maintenance projects. This role is for someone with experience in flushing and treating closed systems such as heating, chilled and cooling as part of BSRIA BG29 and BG50. The candidate will also require a CSCS card for this role. We can assist in obtaining this if there is not one in place already. Lodging maybe required for some jobs but only normally a few times a year. Key responsibilities will include and are not limited too:- Pre-commission cleaning of LTHW and CHW systems with the use of system pumps or using a temporary pump and manifold. Checking & recording flow rates / velocities in accordance with BSRIA BG29 Undertaking back flushing of various units in accordance with BSRIA BG29 Sampling closed systems for laboratory testing and on-site testing of water quality using test kits. Carrying out work in line with BSRIA guidelines Ensure work is carried out to site specific rules and plans Liaise and support clients throughout projects Strainer cleaning and taking photographic evidence for the paperwork Additional Skills:- (Not Essential) Disinfection of hot and cold water services Main injection disinfections Tank cleans and boosted water disinfections Domestic water sample testing To apply you must hold:- Full UK driving licence Be able to pass an enhanced DBS Minimum of 2 years’ experience Ideally based in or around the west midlands
