SAP Developer - EWM/ABAP

Job Title : SAP EWM ABAP Developer Experience Required : 10 Years Location : Chennai Job Description : We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM ABAP Developer with a proven track record of 10 years in implementing and customizing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions. The candidate should have strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming and experience in EWM-related modules to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, test, and implement ABAP programs for SAP EWM solutions. - Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Design custom reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements in SAP EWM using ABAP. - Work on EWM integration with other SAP modules (SD, MM, WM, etc.). - Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews. - Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and new EWM implementation projects. - Handle complex technical challenges and ensure best practices are followed in ABAP development. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the production environment. - Work with business users and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements. - Provide post-go-live support and troubleshooting as necessary. Required Skills : - Strong experience in SAP EWM ABAP programming. - Proficiency in ABAP development techniques, including ALV reports, BADI, User Exits, BAPI, RFCs, and IDocs. - Good understanding of SAP EWM modules and how they integrate with other modules like MM, SD, WM. - Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and other modern SAP technologies (desirable). - Knowledge of Warehouse Management concepts and processes within SAP EWM. - Familiarity with BOM, Routing, and other logistics-related master data in SAP. - Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. - Experience working in Agile and waterfall project environments. - Good communication skills to work effectively with both technical teams and business users. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Skills : - Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and migration of EWM on HANA (desirable). - Experience with SAP EWM RF Framework, S/4 HANA Migration, and EWM Integration with external systems. Education & Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. - Relevant SAP certifications are a plus. (ref:hirist.tech)
