Magento Developer - eCommerce Apps

About the Role : We are seeking an experienced Magento Developer to join our development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance Magento websites and applications. You will collaborate with front-end and back-end developers, product managers, and designers to create seamless e-commerce experiences for our clients. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and maintain custom Magento themes and extensions. - Work with Magento layout XML, phtml templates, and blocks to create intuitive and scalable e-commerce solutions. - Customize and extend Magento functionalities using Magento's API and custom modules. - Optimize Magento-based sites for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring robust performance even under high traffic. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Magento stores, third-party integrations, and site performance. - Implement responsive web designs using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. - Develop interactive front-end features using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, Vue.js, or Knockout.js. - Utilize LESS and SASS for CSS pre-processing to streamline styling and ensure consistent design patterns. - Apply best practices for optimizing front-end performance, including caching, lazy loading, and minification. - Use Git for source control and manage versioning for both front-end and back-end development tasks. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, QA, etc.) to ensure a smooth development process and deliver high-quality solutions. - Understand e-commerce workflows and implement Magento solutions accordingly to support order management, inventory, customer interactions, and payment processing. - Work on the integration of third-party APIs, payment gateways, shipping services, and other e-commerce tools. - Support Magento RESTful APIs to create seamless integrations with external systems. - Leverage Magento's caching mechanisms and front-end optimization tools to improve page load times and performance. - Regularly monitor site performance and implement improvements as needed. - Test code for cross-browser compatibility and resolve issues related to design and functionality. - Participate in code reviews and perform debugging to ensure clean, efficient, and bug-free code. - Maintain clear and detailed documentation of the codebase, new features, and development processes. - Document the development workflow, customizations, and third-party integrations for easy reference by the team. - Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. - Experience with modern front-end frameworks and libraries such as React.js, Vue.js, or Knockout.js. - Familiarity with Magento layout XML, phtml templates, and blocks. - Expertise in LESS/SASS for CSS pre-processing. - Strong understanding of Magento front-end caching mechanisms and optimization tools. - Experience with front-end build tools such as Gulp, Grunt, or Webpack. - Proficiency in Git for version control. - Familiarity with Magento's RESTful APIs and third-party integration techniques (ref:hirist.tech)
