Big Data Engineer - Python/Hadoop

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES : - Maintain high quality coding standards and deliver the work in stipulated time frame. - Review work of team members and occasionally provide guidance. - Develop an understanding of Work Breakdown Structure and assist the manager in delivering the same. - Develop sector initiatives (credential building, knowledge management.). - Act as a Team lead. - Being proficient in delivering key responsibilities in line with the project plan. THE INDIVIDUAL : - 2 - 7 years of experience in Python - Good understanding of Big data ecosystems and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark etc. - Experience in developing data processing task using PySpark. - Expertise in at least one popular cloud provider preferably AWS is a plus. - Good knowledge of any RDBMS/NoSQL database with strong SQL writing skills - Experience on Datawarehouse tools like Snowflake is a plus. - Experience with any one ETL tool is a plus - Strong analytical and problem-solving capability - Excellent verbal and written communications skills - Client facing skills: Solid experience working with clients directly, to be able to build trusted relationships with stakeholders - Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams - Strong understanding of data structures, algorithm, object-oriented design and design patterns - Experience in the use of multi-dimensional data, data curation processes, and the measurement/improvement of data quality. - General knowledge of business processes, data flows and quantitative models that generate or consume data - Independent thinker, willing to engage, challenge and learn new (ref:hirist.tech)
