Accountant

B Com Accounting is a prerequisite for this role along with a minimum of 8 - 10 year working experience. Primary Location: Delmas. To start: Immediately. Salary Scale: R50,000 CTC Willing to relocate. Housing is provided Candidate would be responsible for: Overseeing full accounting function (including all general ledger accounts and inventory). Cost accounting analysis of all inventory and overhead costs, benchmarking of costs to budget and industry, identify cost saving areas, assist management to manage cost within budget, etc Journal and general ledger transactions and reconciliations. Balance sheet reconciliations. Weekly and monthly preparation and financial analysis of management accounting figures. Monitoring, analysis of inventory costs, reconciliation and ad hoc attendance of inventory counts of all inventory departments. Maintaining of fixed asset register. Maintenance of SARS regulatory requirements, including reviewing of vehicle logbooks, implementing, and maintaining compliance with legal requirements and ensuring correct diesel rebates calculations as per Customs & Excise Act. Preparation of annual budget. Preparation of audit documents. Preparation of forecasts. Assist with preparation of management accounts, in-depth of analysing results against budgets and forecasts. Assist the COO/CFO/FM with other requests, projects and responsibilities that may arise. Skills required: Good knowledge of accounting principles Computer literate, MS Office proficient, especially Excel Pastel Evolution Accounting experience Efficient, organised, accurate Detail orientated / meticulous attention to detail required Ability to multi-task Deadline oriented Hardworking and willing to go the extra mile Good interpersonal and communication skills Reliable own transport Fluent in Afrikaans & English
