Job Description

At Hitachi Energy we are recruiting a Material Manager that will work for our High Voltage Business Unit. A Material Manager manages or performs work associated with the procurement and supply and logistics of manufacturing materials. Typically, responsible for establishing operational plans for the job area and developing and implementing new products, processes, standards, or operational plans that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results. Requires communication with leadership. As Material Manager, you will need to drive harmonized processes to sustainably reduce our inventory level and achieve a high service level in addition to optimizing material flows, stock levels, and balancing efficient and resilient inventory management. Your responsibilities: Harmonize processes to optimize stock levels through efficient ERP usage. Define measurements to analyze the optimum stock levels. Liaise with the Supply Chain function to determine smooth material flow and ensure a resilient supply chain. Ensure streamlined procurement procedures to ensure a smooth flow of materials. Definition of harmonized inventory storage procedures. Robust material planning processes to fulfill customer demands. Early identification of supply chain risks and mitigation. Forecasting and analyzing inventory levels to secure efficient routines. Identify and drive improvements in our purchase processes. Your background: Min. 15 years of experience as Material Manager / Coordinator. University degree in engineering, materials, or related field. Operational & Inventory mindset. Strong general quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work closely with large and complex remote teams and in a multi-country & cultural environment. Excellent project management skills with demonstrated capacity to take initiative, structure and prioritize own work, work effectively, independently, and deliver on committed schedule. Continuous improvement knowledge is a plus. SAP knowledge. Strong written and oral communication skills, fluent in English; other European languages are a plus. J-18808-Ljbffr
