IT Technician

Our client in George is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain network systems, and ensure smooth and secure daily operations. Key responsibilities Install and configure network cables, routers, switches, and other IT infrastructure components. Set-up and troubleshoot WiFi networks, ensuring optimal coverage and performance Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and devices Conduct on-site diagnostics to identify and resolve hardware and software issues Assist with server installations and maintenance when required Provide technical support and guidance to clients and end users Document all work completed, including configurations and troubleshooting steps Ensure all installations and maintenance comply with company standards and client requirements Requirements Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role Strong knowledge of network systems, cabling, and wifi setup Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting hardware and software Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows and macOS Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and customer service abilities Valid drivers license, own transport and willingness to travel to client sites Matric/Grade 12 Relevant certifications (A/N) are advantageous
