Security Site Monitor

Responsibilities Job Summary: Monitors and analyzes security activities from the Security Operations Center (SOC). What is the work? (other duties may be assigned) Security: Monitors by video all entry and exit points for pedestrian and vehicle traffic on properties and facilities owned and operated by H-E-B. Manages the Security Operations Center for the assigned site, utilizing video management and access control systems. Prioritizes workload based on urgency; delegates tasks. Responsible for the intake and coordination of serious incident reports. Performs routine duties with little or no supervision. Communications: Communicates with a range of audiences. Responsible for conducting security site surveys. Responsible for completing security reports. Communicates incidents with a sense of urgency and in a timely manner. Preferred Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (2 years of higher education preferred). 3 years of experience in security. Experience as a guard (preferred). Preferred Key Competencies: Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel. Strong verbal/written communication skills. Decision-making skills. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks. Adaptability. Physical and Other Requirements: Must have a neat, professional appearance and report to work in a complete and clean assigned uniform. Function in a fast-paced retail office environment. Travel by car or plane with overnight stays. Work extended hours/sit for extended periods. Work rotating schedules. Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more.
