Job Title: Registered Nurse (General, Dialysis, Mental Health) Job Specialty: Staff Augmentation Job Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Day 2:30 PM-10:30 PM, every 3rd weekend Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio as issued by the Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of the Ohio Revised Code Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: Clear bags, must clear metal detector—no silverware—clear coffee mugs and tumblers Job Description: - Provide professional nursing care to individuals in health services units or state-owned/operated facilities. - Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients. - Make nursing rounds and take and record vital signs. - Prepare and administer prescribed medications and ordered treatment plans and immunizations. - Monitor patients in restraints and provide immediate medical attention to emergencies. - Schedule, assign, and review work of lower-level staff, participate in staff development and education. - Develop and review care plans, train, and orient new employees. - Responsible for healthcare of bedridden individuals, making rounds, evaluating care, and administering medication. - Perform specialized procedures such as IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusion, and more. - Organize and oversee emergency response teams. - Perform clerical tasks such as charting, report completion, inventory control, and arranging medical examinations and prescriptions. - Serve as instructor on occasion and participate in problem-solving teams or groups.
