Chef de Partie

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join a busy Cambridge College. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food production and preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will play a vital role in the kitchen, working alongside other team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices. Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including inventory control and stock rotation. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Help develop new menu items and contribute to creative culinary ideas. Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service, making adjustments as necessary. Requirements Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to lead and supervise others when required. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
