TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Tacoma, Washington, 98405 Pay Information $2,369 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights, every other weekend; primary assignment with floating requirements Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience License: Yes, willing to wait Certifications: BLS, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: Ability to titrate drips, experience with telemetry and med/surg units Job Description: - Candidates must not have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facility within the past year. - Medical Solutions will auto-deduct state tax, which can be re-added if preferred. - The facility includes several med/surg units with different specialties; all units are telemetry. - RNs are required to float and cover needs across the entire med/surg division, including alternate med/surg units. - RNs may be assigned as CNAs or entrance screeners if needed, with the same expectation as the regular staff. - Charge RN is available per each unit, with a House Supervisor from 11 am to 7 am. - CNAs on these units typically manage 8-11 patients. - Telemetry is monitored remotely by telemetry techs; RNs are responsible for verifying readings. - Nurses are required to titrate drips up to specified levels per med/surg guidelines, with transfers to critical care if necessary. - Diagnostic and patient types include abdominal surgeries, trauma, long-term therapies, cardiac, COVID, neuro, ortho, spine, oncology, and more. - Equipment includes CPAP, Bipap, and Trachs; no ventilators. - Shifts and scheduling are flexible but require working every other weekend and typically 1-2 winter holidays. - On-call or standby requirement up to 4 times during the contract duration. - No specific scrub color is required; dress code applies. - Orientation includes 4 hours on each of the primary med/surg floors, with no orientation on alternate units due to standardized care expectations. - The cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to 4 shifts per assignment.
