Instructor or Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance, Non-Tenure Track, Fall 2025 Location: Orange, CA Open Date: Feb 7, 2025 Description: General Information The George L. Argyros College of Business and Economics at Chapman University invites applications for a non-tenure track, Instructor or Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance beginning August 1, 2025. Chapman University is a nationally-ranked, R2 Carnegie Classified, private institution offering traditional undergraduate and graduate programs in the heart of Orange County, one of Southern California's most diverse and vibrant regions. The school currently has 1,800 undergraduates and 150 graduate students who attend classes in a modern 100,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility. Responsibilities Teach eight undergraduate and/or graduate courses (24 credits total) annually (August - May) in their area of expertise. Actively contribute as an integral member of the Argyros College faculty by engaging in department and university service as expected of a non-tenure track faculty member. Plan, develop, and deliver high-quality courses. Offer regular office hours to provide students with opportunities for one-on-one consultations, academic advising, and clarification of course materials. Participate in advising for students, helping them select appropriate courses and develop academic plans. Contribute to the overall mission of the institution by attending program meetings and supporting campus-wide initiatives and events. Serve on academic committees or task forces within the institution, contributing to discussions and decisions related to academic policies, curriculum development, and other relevant matters. Qualifications: Applicants with experience in finance or a related field are encouraged to apply. An MBA or Doctoral Degree in a related field as well as a record of outstanding professional achievement is required. Preferred requirements include teaching experience and a CFA designation.
