Overview As a Barman and Relief Butler, you will be responsible for serving our guests and ensuring they receive a world class experience. Responsibilities Welcoming and greeting guests on arrival Perform consistent service and always maintain a high standard Be aware of all menu changes and dietary requirements of the guests Support optimal communication between the kitchen and service team Upsell and recommend items to the guests Obey Liquor regulations Assist in any other department when needed Report all guest complaints to the Lodge Lead Requirements No less than 5 years experience in a similar role Previous experience working in a 5 establishment World class level of F&B customer service in a luxury environment Knowledge in wine, cocktails and food Experience in wine pairing and cocktail development Technical skills Good communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent attention to detail Excellent hygiene principles Excellent time management and self-discipline Proactive, use initiative and creative flair when required Excellent command of the English language Soft skills Teamwork Professionalism Proactive High Performance Forward Thinking Accountability Position Details Contract type: Permanent & on site Site: Thornybush Game Lodge (Hoedspruit) Work Cycle: 6 weeks on : 2 weeks off Benefits: Provident Fund Salary: Cash 7.5% provident fund contribution
