Third Party Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage third-party logistics providers and owner-driver networks. Design and implement efficient route management strategies to optimize delivery performance. Develop and roll-out transport systems and processes that drive efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate cross-functionally to align the logistics strategy with business goals. Monitor and enhance service levels, ensuring seamless execution of transport operations. Lead the execution of the route to market strategy through the effective implementation of the owner driver control centre and external third-party plans (role has a 12-month outlook with medium-term business impact). Collaborate with the Distribution Services Manager to implement interventions aimed at increasing productivity in line with the RTM strategy. Provide guidance and influence Warehouse and Distribution Managers to achieve optimal utilisation of owner drivers to meet the route to market strategy's requirements. Develop and implement transportation execution plans (i.e., aimed at improving driver turnaround and working times; driver customer service level) and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Address operational challenges by implementing corrective actions to mitigate transportation issues (adjust loads in collaboration with the Distribution Planning Managers based on demand plan targets). Ideal Candidate: Holds a Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or related field. Brings 8 years of relevant experience in third-party logistics, transport operations, and team leadership. Has a strong background in managing owner-driver models and building high-performance transport networks. Has proven expertise in route management, system development, and process implementation. Has experience within FMCG / Logistics environments (highly advantageous). Is analytical, strategic, and highly collaborative, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
