The best candidate is currently working in (furniture, home, design, flooring, tiles, wallpaper), as examples. The Job Reporting to the Director, you will help ensure smooth operations and help coach employees to succeed (Team of 5). You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties: Hold regular meetings with staff to provide support, coaching, and mentorship while reinforcing positive behaviors. Organize Enhanced Communication meetings to strengthen team cohesion. Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products, following up on quotes to ensure timely project completion. Handle customer inquiries and schedule appointments. Meet with manufacturer representatives to stay informed on new products, evaluate their viability, and make recommendations to the product committee and Director. Coordinate staff training with the Showroom and Product Development Manager. Maintain showroom displays to ensure they are relevant and effectively influence purchasing decisions. Conduct sales analyses to optimize space utilization. Participate in the product committee and collaborate with other Showroom Managers to plan sales, promotions, and special offers. Ensure product placement aligns with sales strategies. Ensure compliance with operating hours and maintain adequate staffing levels to meet service expectations. Develop and execute an annual action plan to expand market share, enhance productivity, and achieve business objectives. Manage overtime and other controllable showroom expenses. Handle customer complaints promptly, aiming for full client satisfaction. Escalate major issues to the Director. Monitor competitive activities and adjust within established guidelines. Inform the Director of any significant market changes. Perform additional tasks as required or assigned by the supervisor. What you bring to the job You are energetic, engaging, and positive with a self-motivated and adaptable mindset. You also come with: Secondary School Diploma with additional post-secondary coursework in Sales and Management. 2 years of experience as a leader (showroom, retail, distribution). Excellent interpersonal and public speaking abilities for both team and client interactions. Capable of leading, coaching, and motivating a team while effectively prioritizing, delegating, and managing workloads. Skilled in relationship-building, multitasking, and meeting deadlines. Proficient in using technology to facilitate projects and conceptualizing processes to ensure successful completion. Possesses strong business acumen, good judgment, tact, and diplomacy. Task-oriented with a natural leadership presence and an eye for decorating and design. Demonstrates independence, responsibility, and a dynamic approach to problem-solving and leadership.
