Job Title : Data Modeler Experience : 10-14 Years Location : Remote Notice Period : Immediate Key Skills : Data Modeling, Data Analysis, Erwin or Erwin Studio, Dimensional Modeling, Data Warehousing (DWH), Snowflake, SQL Domain : Banking (Mandatory) Job Type : Full-Time/Freelencer Job Description Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler with 10-14 years of experience to design and manage data models for large-scale banking applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Data Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, Data Warehousing (DWH), and Snowflake, along with proficiency in Erwin or Erwin Studio. Responsibilities : - Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business requirements. - Create and maintain enterprise-level data models to support banking applications and analytics. - Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and development teams to define data structures. - Implement Dimensional Modeling techniques for optimized reporting and analytics. - Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and governance policies. - Optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and maintainability. - Collaborate with ETL and BI teams to ensure data integrity and proper data flow. - Work with DWH solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.) for efficient data storage and retrieval. - Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. - Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data security policies, and GDPR standards. Required Skills : - Data Modeling & Analysis - Strong expertise in Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models - Dimensional Modeling - Fact and Dimension Tables, Star & Snowflake Schemas - Data Modeling Tools - Erwin Data Modeler or Erwin Studio (Mandatory) - Data Warehousing - Hands-on experience with DWH architectures (Snowflake preferred) - SQL & Database Design - Strong SQL skills, indexing, partitioning, performance tuning - ETL & Data Integration - Understanding of ETL processes and best practices - Banking Domain - Experience in retail banking, core banking, risk, regulatory reporting, or payments - Cloud Data Platforms - Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP for cloud-based data solutions Nice to Have : - Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Lineage, and Master Data Management (MDM) - Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) - Exposure to data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS) (ref:hirist.tech)
