Data Manager

Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Data Manager to design, implement, and document data architecture and data modeling solutions across relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and governing data models, managing data tools, and optimizing data architecture to support enterprise information management, business intelligence, machine learning, data science, and other business needs. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models. - Develop and manage RDBMS, operational data stores (ODS), data marts, and data lakes on target platforms, including both SQL and NoSQL databases. - Oversee the expansion of existing data architecture, and optimize data query performance through best practices and governance. - Collaborate with business and IT teams to define and implement data strategies, and to build data flows across relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data platforms. - Define and govern data modeling standards, tools, best practices, and the development of enterprise data models. - Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, supporting automated data loads, data security, and analytics models. - Perform hands-on data modeling, configuration, installation, performance tuning, and create proof-of-concept (POC) environments. - Act proactively to manage project requirements, identifying risks, and addressing challenges to minimize project delivery delays. - Provide leadership in defining and ensuring proper implementation of data management processes across teams. - Work independently and collaboratively to support the implementation of data-driven solutions. Skills and Experience : Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Experience : - 5 years of hands-on experience with relational, dimensional, and/or analytic data modeling. - Expertise in working with RDBMS, NoSQL, and ETL/data ingestion protocols is required. - Proven experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-datacenter contexts. - Strong knowledge of metadata management and familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER Studio, or other related tools. - Strong ability to manage teams, along with excellent communication and presentation skills, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with machine learning or data science initiatives related to data management and architecture. - Proficiency in cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). - Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices in enterprise environments.
