About the Job : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Netcool Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Netcool 8.1 architecture and a proven track record in designing, implementing, and supporting Netcool solutions within complex IT environments. This role requires a proactive problem solver with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively to ensure the efficient monitoring and management of our network : Netcool 8.1 Architecture & Implementation : - Design, implement, and maintain Netcool 8.1 solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. - Provide expert-level support for IBM Tivoli NetCool components. Netcool Module Expertise : - Hands-on experience in configuring and managing the following Netcool modules : 1. Omnibus 2. TBSM (Tivoli Business Service Manager) 3. Impact 4. WebGUI 5. ITM (IBM Tivoli Monitoring) 6. ITNM (IBM Tivoli Network Manager) 7. ITCAM (IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager) 8. TCR (Tivoli Common Reporting) - Develop and maintain Perl and Shell scripts for Netcool automation and customization. Third-Party Integrations : - Integrate Netcool with various OSS/BSS components, including : 1. BMC Remedy/ServiceNow/Siebel 2. XMatters 3. Inventory Systems (Cramer/Granite, etc.) - Utilize Netcool Impact for database integrations, operator view creation, web service integrations (SOAP/REST), and SNMP integrations. EMS/OSS Application Integration : - Integrate EMS/OSS applications into Netcool using Netcool probes and gateways. - Extensive experience with Netcool probes, including those for Radio Network Operators (Ericsson, Nokia, etc.) and Fixed Line/IP Network equipment (SNMP, Cisco, Huawei, etc.). - Proficiency in configuring component gateways (Remedy, Socket, etc.) and generic probes (SNMP MTTRAPD, Syslog, Ping, Email, etc.). Problem Solving & Analysis : - Understand complex and advanced network management/monitoring concepts. - Proactively and preventively identify and resolve problems. - Demonstrate strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and optimize Netcool performance. Experience : 6-9 years of hands-on experience in Netcool administration and development. Location : Pan India (Preferable: Skills : - Netcool 8.1 architecture and administration. - IBM Tivoli NetCool suite (Omnibus, TBSM, Impact, WebGUI, ITM, ITNM, ITCAM, TCR). - Perl and Shell scripting. - Netcool probe and gateway configuration. - Third-party integrations (BMC Remedy/ServiceNow, XMatters, etc.). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent Communication skills. - Experience with SNMP, SOAP, and REST integrations. Preferred Skills : - Experience with specific vendor EMS systems (Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco, Huawei). - Knowledge of database integration with Netcool Impact. - Experience with Inventory Systems like Cramer or Granite. - Experience with cloud based monitoring solutions (ref:hirist.tech)
